Sushi

This weekend I went shopping with my mom and spent way too much money! :) Among the items I purchased, finally got some chopsticks, dinnerware, and ingredients to make sushi. My mom came over on Sunday to supervise while I made everything. It was fantastic! The rolls had crab, shrimp, asparagas, cucumber, avacado and some with carrot. It was slightly time consuming, but not too bad. I must say....it is definitely an art, you can really have fun doing the "assembly" aspect of sushi. Great stuff, tasted very good. I look forward to making it again.

Sanders Halloween Party

Doug and Kelli's First Annual Hallowwen Party was awesome! Aaron was from the SNL bit (Bulls/Bears); Doug loved it! And me, just some ugly soccer chic! Looking forward to next years date already.

Charlie's 2nd Birthday

Charlie Hein celebrated his 2nd Birthday on October 23, 2008. Debbie de Wolfe, mom, made the cake and everyone loved it!! He is going to be Batman for Halloween.

Jobs for Aaron

After his rebuttal was accepted, Aaron has accepted the job at Air Vent! He turned in his 2 week notice to Texstars on Thursday and will begin at Air Vent on November 17, 2008. Yeah!!

Wellness Club for Kids

I have decided to begin a Wellness Club for the students at Sallye Moore, K-5, once a month. The students will learn to make easy and fun healthy snacks for themselves. They will also be able to build a recipe book for their own reference and participate in interesting activities related to health and wellness. Some of the proposed activities are: guest fitness speaker, tour of the school cafeteria kitchen, guest chef/cake decorator (mom!)
Wish me luck because so far no other teachers have resonded to my invitation to help!
