Easter 2011

Last weekend, the Hein cousins attended an Easter Egg Hunt at my sister-in-laws workplace. They had such a blast and I am so grateful to Amanda for all the pictures she takes and shares. I, currently, can not locate the USB cord for our Canon, preventing me from uploading any pictures from the camera :(

Anyhow, we spent Easter morning at church with my Nana and Papa de Wolfe and then took a bit of a nap before heading over to Gamma and Gampa Hein's for an early dinner. The food and company was fabulous as usual. The cousins love playing with one another. They did an egg hunt in the front yard and then did confetti eggs as usual. It really is such a entertaining time; seeing the kiddos interacting and everyone together.....puts a smile on my face!! What a blessed day in EVERY WAY.

Thanks again Amanda for letting me steal these pictures!!

Updates

Well, we haven't officially closed on our old house yet, but the "sold" sign is in the yard and we have moved our belongings into storage and are now living with my parents. We are scheduled to close Monday or Tuesday. It has been quite an adjustment and we are so very blessed to have such gracious parents who are allowing us to invade their space for a few months.

Over the weekend we met Connor Sutherlin, my college roommate Kensley's first child. He is such a cutie pie and was a total angel while we were there!!

Life is busy and everyone in the family is tired. I do apologize for the lapse in blogging again, but life has been a bit disorganized for us momentarily....imagine that statement for me :)

Homes=Stress

Well, selling our house and the "search" for a new one has left me with a serious case of sleep deprivation. We go to bed searching for homes online and I wake up dreaming about them. Floor plans, kitchens, number of bedrooms....it consumes my every thought. This is why I am blogging at 6:00 am, I literally woke up at 4 thinking about layouts and communities and began looking on the netbook at 4:30! Poor Aaron, he just got up and went for a run at 5, slightly disgusted by my impulsive and stressful behavior.

Our possessions have very rapidly disappeared. From FB posts, we have managed to sell our breakfast table, bedroom suit, sectional couch, and two single chairs. Through the new buyers and their realtor (related somehow??), they have bought curtains, refrigerator, guest bed and dresser, patio furniture, office desk, shuffleboard table, wall art, silverware and some glasses and now possibly our washer and dryer!! Holy Toledo Batman :)

And weight gain is rapidly appearing due to lack of food in the house+eating out+stress......YES!!! I am thoroughly enjoying this process so far. Oh, and our closing date is April 20th, not the 30th. Somewhere, somehow, a miscommunication took place and this results in "packing crunch time." Aaron definitely blames the date mistake on me! Hmmmm!!

Closing April 30th

Well, the appraisal on our house was right on target and we are really moving out at the end of the month. The buyers are paying for a termite inspection, but boxes are piling and walls are clearing. This family is dropping a mortgage payment for a while. Brooklyn has been helping with packing as well. She sorted dvds, so Daddy could consolidate them.

She has become quite the "big girl" these days and it is rather entertaining. I love the way she eats, love the way she says a million words, love the way she uses the wall now to get up the stairs, and I love the way she gets onto her stool to wash her hands and brush her teeth!!
