We celebrated New Years in crazy fashion....we had leftovers for dinner (to rid of the old), drank sparkling juice, discussed the wonderful memories of 2018 and aspirations for 2019, counted down to 9pm and went to bed. Well, the kids, anyway! Aaron and worked on building me a new dining room table by hand and I painted more baseboards in the house. It was crazy wild and exciting. NOT!
However, New Years Day was super fun! We started a tradition last year of ice skating and we did it again this year with Gamma and Gampa and Gamma's brother and kids. We had a great time. The girls got the hang of it faster and we skated from nearly 3 hours! We had a blast! Of course we did the carousel ride after and stayed to eat lunch at the mall before hobbling to the car and heading home.

Throughout the week off for holiday break, we purged some of our clothes and toys, played tons of games, had a hair and nails day, hung around in our pjs a lot and did a few science experiments. We grew crystals and erupted a volcano with several different solutions. We had a really good start to the new year and are thankful to have another year!
