First Day for Cayleigh and Morgan

Our "middles" had their first day of school today and they were SUPER excited! Cayleigh is now officially in Pre-K and we had her parent orientation on Monday evening and got to meet her fabulous teachers on Tuesday morning. Today was no different with her enthusiasm for herself as well as Morgan starting!

Last year before Kindergarten

This is Morgan's very first year in preschool and she was so thrilled to be going to school just like her big sisters. She acted like a veteran meeting her teachers on Tuesday and strolled right into class today.

Both Cayleigh and Morgan said that they had a great first day and thought their teachers were very nice! Looking forward to another great school year at our church, First Baptist Keller KIDS program!

2 Week Check-Up

Zach had his two week check-up today and time is flying by. I can't believe yesterday he turned two weeks old already!

Everything went well and he is doing great! He now weighs 6lb, 12oz (5%) and I probably looked crazy to the nurse as a did a tiny happy dance seeing the scale number!! I am soooo thrilled with his weight gain after all the issues with Cayleigh and Morgan at this age. He is still 20in long (53%) and head circumference was 34 (6%). He is one long and lanky little man so far. Nursing him is going good and still showing no signs of reflux! This mommy couldn't be more happy right now with these praises!
I love love love cuddling with this little man...I take advantage of it as often as possible!

First Grade for Brooklyn

This past Thursday evening Brooklyn had Meet the Teacher night at Haslet Elementary. Our entire neighborhood got rezoned to a different school this year due to all the growth in our area. We met Ms. Bizzell and got to see that several friends who were in her class last year, were again in her class this year! Very cool! This is Ms. Bizzell's first year teaching, so she seems very enthusiastic and we pray that God leads her and all the kiddos in a positive and successful way.

Yesterday, we walked our First Grader into her classroom to begin the 2016-2017 school year.
B was very excited to begin school again and she said her favorite part of the day was making new friends at the people at her table.

Awesome In Power

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways submit to him,
And he will make your paths straight.

It was exactly a year ago this time that we were miscarriaging our twins. It was a dark time for me and one of which, thankfully, did not last very long. With it being our second consecutive miscarriage, I thought for certain that we would be closing the door on having more children. God, awesome in power and love had other plans for us. Now a year later, we have welcomed an amazing son/brother into our lives. My broken heart restored and stretched even more to love another sweet baby. God is so good. He is so, so good!

One Week Old

Our handsome Zach is a week old already. Our hearts are so full of love for this little guy and he really is an awesome baby! He is so easy going and feeds great with no signs of any reflux. I can't even tell you how fabulous it is to burp him and not see everything I just gave him spit back on me. Oh, praise, praise!

He went for his second PKU testing yesterday. We also ended up taking him to the pediatrician to recheck his area as he had a few times of bleeding from his diaper sticking. Everything still looked fine so we were glad to hear all of that. He even managed to pee on the dr! Brooklyn got peed on on Wednesday and we all laughed hysterically about it!

Life as a family of 6 has been going well so far. As school begins for B next week and the middles the following week, I know things will feel overwhelming again until that routine is in place.

First Pediatrician Visit

Zach went to the pediatrician on Monday and all checked out fabulously! He weighed in at 6lbs, 1oz and that was his discharge weight from the hospital, so he hasn't lost any weight. I was beyond thrilled to hear this, especially after all the weight issues with Cayleigh and Morgan initially. His circumcision and everything else looks good she said and there were no concerns! Praise for a healthy boy!

Home

We requested to leave as early as possibly, so the hospital did everything to make that happen, thankfully! Early on yesterday they let us know what we needed to have in place to leave and they did their part to make our discharge happen almost immediately after Zach's 24hr check with the nursery. We watched as they completed bloodwork, measuring and remaining stats starting at 9:20pm and we were departing the hospital by 10:30! It was fabulous and we were thrilled to sleep in our own bed last night.

Let the true adjustment to being a family of 6, begin!!

Madly In Love

When I say the girls are "infatuated" with their brother, there is no exaggeration to that term. They were truly devastated to leave the hospital on Thursday evening without getting to meet Zachary. And I broke down over their disappointment also. Thankfully, he was there awaiting them early Friday morning and they each lit up like a morning sunshine. It has just melted our hearts to see how much they love him, want to hold him, kiss him, bring him things and beyond. Brooklyn, Cayleigh and Morgan are the best big sisters. They are just in love with Zach, Zachy boy!

Sleepy Boys

It was a long day for these boys yesterday so they were tired last night. So blessed to have an amazing husband by my side and now a little son to follow in his footsteps.

Happy Birthday Baby Brother!

Zachary Grant arrived after just three quick pushes at 9:16pm on August 11th! He was immediately placed on Mommy and then Daddy and myself got to enjoy a lengthy greeting with our handsome little man. After an hour and a feeding, they bathed him in the room and took his stats. 6lbs, 5oz and 20 in long! Praise God for a healthy baby boy!

Push Time

Looks like it's time to start pushing soon. Calling Dr!

Water Broken

Dr Webster came in and broke my water at about 7:30. I am 7cm dilated now and laying on my side. All is fine just need him to finally arrive! They are waiting to check me again. The girls just left to head home for bed.

Going Along

I was max level with pitocin and just had an epidural about 30 minutes ago. Afterwards, the nurse checked me and the balloon came right out. I am dilated to 6cm and feeling relief. On oxygen because Zach was dipping a bit.

Hanging in there

Contractions are strong and every 2 minutes. I am now on the max level of pitocin, but my water still hasn't broken and the balloon hasn't fallen out yet. Just "hanging in there" unfortunately.

Family Pic

The girls are here to visit. Nothing to report besides contractions getting stronger and coming every 3 minutes. The balloon is suppose to come out once I am around 5cm dilated and we will know more after that.

Another D-Day!!

We checked in at 9am and been getting things started. They inserted a balloon to help with dilation and have started pitocin. Things are going fine and Zach is steady heart rate in the 130's. Contractions are going about every 3-5 minutes. We are all excited around here...Daddy's napping in the recliner.

Zach's Birthday

No more waiting, I am scheduled to be induced at 9am tomorrow! Zachary will be here before we know it. I can't even begin to describe how excited the girls are for his arrival, as I am too. I am ready to meet our little man and see if he looks just like his Daddy! We are praying for a safe and healthy delivery and will be posting updates as much as possible. Praise God for our growing family!

Shirts for the girls and mini cake to celebrate Zach's birthday tomorrow! Yay!

Still Baking

Nothing exciting to report, unfortunately. Zach is still hanging out and content. No progression since last week. His heart rate was 132bpm today. I am miserable and hot, but it's Texas in August! I have gained 28 lbs and feel every inch of expansion at this point. Still praying that he decides to come sooner than later! I am overwhelmed with the desire to see him, hold him and love all over him.

Power Outage

Our power went out about 1:30pm in the afternoon. Brooklyn and I had just arrived back from dropping Cayleigh and Morgan off at my parents house to stay a couple nights. After spending a few hours hanging out in the stagnate warmth of the house (mind you its 100 degrees outside), we decided to get out and go to a store and browse to pass the time. We met Aaron home after work....still no power, no AC for this huge preggo, so we headed over to the movie house to catch a movie and dinner. Ugh, only to return again to no power and predictions of it not returning until possibly 2am. Brooklyn and I packed up and drove back down to my parents house to stay for the night.

Really?!?
I couldn't help but reminisce about the time I was nearly due with Morgan and we were packing up and driving to my parents house during the ice storm!! We had a power outage then and it was bitterly cold instead of hot then!

History always tends to repeat its self. Apparently, always with my pregnancies! Happy 38 weeks to Zach and I today! I am so excited that his birth month has finally arrived!
