Wedding Fun as a Family

This past Saturday morning we drove to San Antonio for a wedding. Gamma Hein's cousin's daughter was getting married and we were privileged enough to be invited for the joyous occasion. The ceremony was held in a beautiful Catholic church near St. Mary's University at 2:30pm. The reception followed and there was dancing....lots of dancing! Both Brooklyn and Cayleigh were extremely excited to go and see a princess (bride), dance and eat cake! That is just what they did. They even danced with the bride one on one towards the later part of the night. Their cousins Sydney and Claire were there also, so they all looked adorable in matching dresses. They also had a fun photo area with tons of props for them to dress up in. It was a quick trip and we all crashed by 9:30pm in the hotel room and drove home the following morning.

VBS 2015

Vacation Bible School was a blast this week! The theme was Journey Off The Map and I got the opportunity to work with 2 amazing ladies and teenage young man. The group of 3rd graders we had were awesome and it was very cool to see and hear how many of them have a strong understanding of the bible and walk with the Lord. The schedule made each day fly by with bible teachings and games, a time learning songs and motions in the music hall, cool activities in the craft room, snack and recreation time outside/inside and worship in the sanctuary. It was such a privilege to be a part of sharing the gospel with these children. From donations made by the kids, our church collected over $1300 for Texas Flood Relief.

"This is the way, walk in it." Isaiah 30:21 was the verse of focus. This was the shortened version that Brooklyn and Cayleigh were taught (we had the full one for the older kids). The girls had a blast and did lots of fun things; tons of crafts and cool stuff to bring home. Cayleigh's teachers even sent home printed pictures of her busy during VBS. This has been a great start to our summer.

My sweet girls :)

18 Month Check-Up

It is really hard for me to grasp the fact that our little Morgan is a year and a half old! Crazy! She had her 18 month well visit with Dr. Evans yesterday and she is doing great and growing well. She weighs 22.4 lbs (44%) and is a whopping 32.5 in long (71%). She hit a big growth spurt here recently. She went to bed one night and the next day, her shoes no longer fit.

She is Miss Independent and definitely acts much older than her age most days because of the way she emulates her older sisters. Thankful for a healthy, growing Morgan!

Summer So Far

We have started our summer off getting wet most of the days. So far, we have had several trips to different splash pads with my moms group and mornings at our community pool. Outside time with play dough and jumping on the trampoline with some house cleaning and cooking in there too.

Morgan has to be doing everything her big sisters do and since vacuuming under the table is one of their chores, she willingly participates as well!
Swatting flies, saying "gotta."

They just added a safari splash park to our Fort Worth Zoo, so we went to see the animals and then check out all the cool slides and waterfalls! It was really cool and lots of awesome water features.

Brooklyn couldn't get enough of all the slides!

Cayleigh had a few that she wasn't scared to go down.

Brooklyn and her friend Tyson touching the snake.
Passed out in the car within minutes....guess this momma knows how to wear them out!
The 11th, we celebrated Daddy's 32nd Birthday at the house with pizza and cake. We sure are lucky to have this guy in our lives!

Love this picture of Daddy and our little!

This past Friday, Gamma came to pick up Brooklyn, Cayleigh and their cousin Sydney to spend the night and go watch Cinderella on Saturday afternoon. The girls chatted into the wee hours of the night and woke up at the crack of dawn, of course. So, they were fast asleep for the car ride to the play, but they had a great time and looked like little princesses themselves.

We celebrated Aaron and his brother, Nick's birthdays on Saturday evening at Gamma and Gampa's House with swimming and hamburgers. By the end of our weeks, we are absolutely pooped! We are doing VBS (Vacation Bible School) this week at our church. I'm working with 3rd graders and the girls are each in their own classes all morning Monday through Thursday. Busy days!

I also had the privilege of attending a girlfriend's wedding whom I use to teach with. It was a very nice wedding. A group of us all use to be at the same school and have since moved and changed positions and so forth, but still hang out often.

A great time with a great group of friends
