The second half of the summer really picked up speed (as you can tell with all my delays with blogging)! More swimming, trips, activities, and visiting with family and friends. It was very busy, but on the days when it wasn't, we were lazy and just spent some good ole time with each other. Usually lots of morning to-do's and the very hot afternoons were inside lounging time.

We drove north to a much smaller zoo, Frant Buck Zoo and met some friends there. We had a really great time. The weather was nice, they had a mini train and a huge park to play at too. It was very manageable and so much fun!
The girls participated in a service project; helping feed lunch to homeless children. Unfortunately, due to other obligations, we could only aide in buying some food to go into the lunches. But, Brooklyn came up with a way that we could minister to the kids with the rice krispie treats we bought. They really do have big serving hearts!
Crafts, Lumi Snow (new ice cream place), lost teeth and giggles!

Here is the ice cream we tried twice. Lumi Snow and it's like shaved ice but melts in your mouth like ice cream. It was really good and the girls devoured it within maybe 2 minutes. No Kidding! The pink one is called, The Circus, the blue one is Birthday Cake and the chocolate one below, Campfire Classic.
We also got to see family from the de Wolfe and Treese side. My uncle Gary and Aunt Debbie came up from Houston with their boys, Stephen and Andrew. We had dinner and extended chat time with all of the them.
Cousins Addy and Kate came to visit and they spent the night one night (sleepover!!) and we got to spend the morning with the birthday girl, 8 year old Katelyn! We got fun donuts for breakfast and painted clay pottery figures. Kate's birthday party was later in the week at an indoor pool, but I forgot to take pictures of that.

Can we say #toomanygirls Ha! Such a fun time with cousins! Kate chose a giraffe to paint, Addy a turtle, Morgan a mermaid, Brooklyn a fox and Cayleigh a penguin.
I also had my annual alumni soccer game. I missed last year because I was super pregnant with Zach, but we made it a family affair with the girls and Aaron and my college roomie, best friend Kensley!

We rounded out the Friday before school starting with a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese because who doesn't like to play a bunch of games where you earn tickets for terribly cheap prizes and when its half price?!
