Elementary School

With both Brooklyn in 2nd and Cayleigh in Kindergarten this year, we have had plenty of school functions to attend! Not including Christmas parties and such coming up along with church choir demonstrations.

Right around Halloween, the girls had "Future Career Day" at school and Brooklyn wants to be an architect and Cayleigh wants to be a professional barrel racer. Either way, they looked so cute all dressed up!

Cayleigh's front tooth was super loose, so with just a little tug by Mommy, it came out. It also looks like she'll be asking for both her front teeth for Christmas because the other one will come out soon too!

These sweet girls are still ok with me matching them! I love it! Brooklyn is nearly too big to fit into clothes that will match with the littles though, but for their school pictures they wore the same top!

Fall 2017 Second Grade
(I really dislike how ever they tell her to move her head so weird, but B will laugh at it someday!)
Fall 2017 Kindergarten
The second grade did a Veteran's Day performance and Brooklyn tried out for a speaking part and got one. It was a nice performance and fun watching her.

Here she is right at the end

Two weeks before Thanksgiving, there was a Thanksgiving Lunch for the kiddos during their lunchtime and I was able to eat with B and C at the same time that day.

Brooklyn was being a stinker! Her face, ugh!
Then, the Friday before Thanksgiving break, Cayleigh had her Kinder Thankful Feast in her classroom. That was cute and fun and I loved all their fun crafts that they made, including their turkey vests!

Earlier this day, each grade level participated in a 1/2 mile Turkey Trot. The boys from each grade level raced against each other and the girls raced against each other. Brooklyn got 3rd out of all the second grade girls! Cayleigh got 4th out of all the Kindergarten girls! So proud of my running girls, they did amazing!

A friend of mine captured this with her nice camera...that is one serious runner!!

Cayleigh's 6th Birthday

Happy 6th Birthday to our compassionate and sweet Cayleigh Nicole! Your love for God shines through your compassion for Brooklyn, Morgan and Zach! You are beautiful and definitely beat to your own drum.

Cayleigh's actual birthday fell on a school day this year, so we got to celebrate with her at lunch! Daddy came and we even pulled Brooklyn from her class (since her lunch time is different) for a quick minute to share some cupcakes!

Later in the week, Gamma and Gampa drove up for dinner and dessert out. Cayleigh chose her favorite Chinese restaurant and we had ice cream afterwards at Cold Stone Creamery. It was a wonderful evening.

Cayleigh spent the night with her Nana and Papa over the weekend and she was spoiled with her very first American Girl doll, Kit! Got to pick her out at the store in Dallas, a soccer outfit to go with her and she bought a pet dog with her own money. Complete with lunch after with her Nana. Then, we had Cayleigh's birthday party with some her friends; cowgirl theme requested by her. We had fun games in the backyard, like barrel racing, hat toss, roping and cracker challenge. The kids had a blast with them all! We loved celebrating another one of our sweethearts!

Quick Ranch Trip

This past weekend, we spent Saturday morning doing family pictures (can't wait to see those!) and then spur-of-the-moment decided to head to the ranch for an evening and morning hunt. The girls always chose the ranch over any other activity, so we missed some other plans for our trip but it was well worth the family time together. The weather was abnormally warm for deer season which was nice from a packing stand point. Unfortunately, only does and a young 4 point buck this go around. But, a decent size large mouth bass and some toy tractor games!

Our silliness during the drive

Headed to throw corn around the blue feeder
Those little boots....he's so cute!

Little Brother

Our little man, brother, Zachy boy has anything BUT a little personality and disposition! He is our sweet guy, rascal and total goofball! And unfortunately, he keeps growing into a big boy and I can't figure out how to make him stop! He is really starting to say more words and identify things, follow directions, feed himself with utensils, and now give kisses!! Like Real Kisses!! Time, STOP!
We love him so, our little big Zach!

He's a crazy man and loves the trampoline park now.
Daddy always makes me laugh!

Yep, throwing rocks. He throws everything!
He likes going on walks around the neighborhood.

He loves PB&J sandwiches
Uses a fork great to poke his food and has now wanted to start using the spoon. Messy!
Crusty nose and all....he is still the handsomest thing around (but I'm partial)!!
