Dentist Sisters

Brooklyn and Cayleigh both had a dentist appointment this morning.  I have been a super slacker mommy, so this was Brooklyn's second visit and Cayleigh's first. We switched pediatric dentists because of our insurance changes, making this the first time with Dr. Susan Roberts. Loved her and her staff.
It was an extremely smooth and successful visit. Both girls had x-rays taken and their teeth cleaned. No tears or hesitance from either one and great reports from the dentist; praise, praise!

Brooklyn had x-rays done on the big machine as well as with the small camera.

Cayleigh just had a few with the small camera.

Brooklyn chose cotton candy flavor toothpaste for her cleaning.

Cayleigh chose strawberry flavor toothpaste for her cleaning.

I was so proud of how brave Cayleigh was during the whole process. Another visit in 6 months and they were thrilled about their new toothbrushes and goodies!

Nana's Surprise 60th!

After 2 months of planning and keeping a secret, we managed to pull off the best surprise ever to celebrate Nana's 60th Birthday!

She was totally shocked and I was as giddy as a school girl getting to make it happen! Nana was coming over to our house under the impression that Aaron and I were taking her and my dad out to a really nice restaurant downtown. Little did she know that 30 of her friends and family were waiting to celebrate with her. Her brother, Uncle Gary and family drove up from Houston and my brother, Jason flew in from PA to make the occasion. It was fantastic!!

I planned an Italian-themed party and made mini spinach lasagna rolls, homemade meatballs, Italian sub sandwiches, caprese salad, mozzarella sticks, brownies and tiramisu cupcakes. Colleen Hein made a pepper, olive, cheese and grape spread. Pam Sanders brought all the wine and plates. The food was fabulous and the company was equally as awesome! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and Nana had to confess some of her old antics with "Debbie's Details" cards prompting the curiosity of the attendees!

Nana was showered with wonderful gifts; one of which is the most beautiful and unique handmade quilt by Colleen. It has every one's pictures embroidered on it in a family tree. Many hours of love put into making it and tons of love displayed by all who came! Truly a very special occasion!

Morgan's 9 Month Check-up

M turned 9 months old yesterday...really?!?! It was a little crazy scheduling her 1 year well visit after the appointment today. Anyhow, she is doing wonderfully; we are so thrilled and blessed. Her reflux is basically non existent at this point. She is an eating machine with all solids, finger foods and various foods from our meals. She loves to play peek-a-boo and giggle at her big sisters. She is into everything and everywhere! And is such a happy, happy girl!

She got her last HepB vaccine today and one of two flu shots for the season. She weighs 17lbs, 6 oz (36th percentile) and is 27 in (25th percentile). We just adore this growing girl, but she sure is Trouble!

B's Yearly Check-Up

Brooklyn had her 5 year well child visit with the pediatrician and all is great. She passed her hearing and vision tests. She weighs 44lbs (60th percentile) and is 44.5in tall (90th percentile).  Not much to report besides that she is growing and looks great. No immunizations except the flu mist. Thankful for a healthy report!

First Day 2014-2015

Brooklyn and Cayleigh started their first day of the 2014-2015 school year today. They couldn't have been more excited.

Brooklyn is in Pre-K and this will be her last year at First Baptist Keller K.I.D.S. before starting public school Kindergarten next year. She was very happy to see all of her friends in her class from the previous year. Her teachers are Mrs. Lynn and Mrs. Robin.

Cayleigh is in the 2 year old preschool class at First Baptist Keller K.I.D.S. and this is her very first year of school. She was beyond ecstatic about going to school like her big sister! Her teachers are Mrs. Misty and Mrs. Tammy.

B's Rainbow Party

Brooklyn had her rainbow themed birthday party on Sunday and it was a blast. Lots of food, family, friends, and love. It was truly a special day and B is a blessed little girl. She got lots of cute clothes, birthday money, crafts, fun toys and a special Rainbow Dash My Little Pony!  Nana de Wolfe made the tallest and most scrumptious rainbow cake ever! And all the kiddos had a great time making rainbow sand art necklaces. Such a great celebration for Brooklyn turning 5 tomorrow!
