The Littles

My "littles" are not so little anymore :(
Cayleigh and Morgan are getting so big and I truly wonder where the time has gone. Cayleigh is now wearing 5T size clothes and it seems like Brooklyn was just wearing them. Morgan is wearing 2T clothes and is looking more and more like a toddler, not anywhere close to a baby. We just went shoe shopping for all the girls this past weekend since they are growing so quickly. In less than a month, Cayleigh and Morgan will have a joint birthday party to celebrate turning 4 and 2.
Time, Please Slow Down!

Having fun at the mall

Gamma's Tea Party

Gamma threw a fun tea party to celebrate her upcoming birthday! It was a great family gathering. The girls stayed the weekend and Brooklyn and Cayleigh helped set up the decorations for the party (Morgan was not so helpful). The girls dressed in princess dresses and we played bingo and enjoyed yummy finger foods. It is such a blessing to be able to gather with family for all kinds of occasions and so very thankful that my mother-in-law makes every effort to coordinate them!

Parent/Teacher Conference

Aaron and I had our first parent/teacher conference yesterday afternoon with Brooklyn's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Graves. It went really well. She received 'Excellent' in all 9 categories of a successful learner. She is reading on a level 4, her writing level is a 4, and her problem-solving skills in mathematics are very strong. Mrs. Graves said that she is doing awesome and will begin to place her on her own higher level of writing since her skills are already where kindergartners end the school year. She also said that she can always count on Brooklyn to be making good choices and has asked her on several occasions to help others with their work. We are so thrilled that she is doing well and has such a positive drive for school! We pray that she continues to demonstrate respectful behavior on a daily basis and continues to love learning.

Event to Event

Phew, this 3 day weekend came to a close after being filled with fall festivities and running around. We started the weekend in downtown Roanoke for their Celebrate Roanoke Festival and we spent 3 hours walking around, playing games, doing crafts, getting tons of prizes and free giveaways followed by lunch with friends. The girls had loads of fun and accumulated way too many "goodies!"

Morgan was in love with the train ride!!
Sunday, we went to Hall's Pumpkin Patch in Grapevine. Our realtor hosts the event each year and got got snacks and goodie bags and coupons to pick free pie-sized pumpkins. Brooklyn and Cayleigh most looked forward to being able to select their own pumpkin to decorate for Halloween. It was fun, but very hot and dusty, so we didn't stay very long.

These girls make me smile!

This cowgirl is the cutest!

Aaron and Brooklyn had tickets to the Ranger game that night. Tough lose that evening to the Blue Jays. Aaron also had tickets to the game Monday afternoon, so he and Cayleigh went to that one.

Made her own sign to cheer on the Rangers
This sweetheart endured a very HOT game. Thankfully, she got to go up to her Uncle Dan's office/suite and cool off for a few innings.

Cutie Ranger Fans
We hosted a Halloween Dress Up Party playdate with my mom's group Monday morning. Such fun times with lots of well-behaved kiddos and awesome moms! We did a costume parade down the sidewalk and it was really, really cute!
