New Boundaries

Since Brooklyn is now crawling around, we obviously have made a few more changes around the house. She is quite the little turkey; pulling herself up onto things and getting into everything. She has now dumped over the trash in the office, pulled books off her bookshelf, and gummed some magazines!

Here she is in her bouncer....ha! She figured out how to get in it by herself :)

And by nap time, she was exhausted from getting into everything.

Here is the new permanent gate that Aaron put up.

Needless to say, life is becoming more and more entertaining around here!

P.S. Please forgive the long pause in blogs/pictures coming up.

Going, Going...Uh Oh!

Brooklyn is on the move. The luxury of sitting there and her always being beside you is now gone! She is getting faster and faster at crawling (slow now, but picking up pace by the second). I had her sitting and playing with a toy this morning while I went to turn on the computer and sure enough I came back to find her on all fours and moving towards her exersaucer. Uh Oh!! And to think, I have wanted her to crawl for so long now, so anxious....can I get a "take-back??"

The Love Dare Devotional

"The Love Dare Day by Day is a one-year devotional designed to challenge husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love. This 365-day journey contains the foundational principles of the original Love Dare while providing fresh content and deeper studies. Whether your marriage is hanging by a thread or is healthy and strong, this is a powerful journey you need to experience."

Aaron and I have decided to try this together. It is all about love and it's various understandings. I will begin posting the weekly "dare" that it includes. I had heard of this about a year ago and never followed through with my pursuit. So here we are now!

"Dare to Love. Every Day."

Bruise Cruisin'

Brooklyn is a maniac in her walker! She will run you down!! She moves very fast, reverses, rams, and is amazing to watch as she surprisingly maneuvers very well. I will try to get video of her posted soon. Anyways, wanted to share some pictures of her in her Bruise Cruiser!

Hi Momma!

Look at me go!

Watch out toy, I'm gonna run you over!

"Beep, beep, beep," this is me backing up!

Father's Day 2010

We had a very nice Father's Day this year. There are numerous Daddy's in the Hein Family and they are all so special! Aaron is by far the most patient, sweet, loving and caring dad to Brooklyn. God certainly gave us a girl for a reason and that is evident when you see "Dadda" with "B" :)

We spent our day at the Hein House with extended families as well. It was a great day!

Work in Progress

Brooklyn is getting close to the crawling stage, but not there yet. She looks so funny!! With Dadda in class now 4 nights a week (to finish up), he is going to be devastated if he misses something, so we will keep him in the loop :)

Newest Hein

Sydney Michelle Hein arrived at 5:02pm. She is 6 lbs, 1 oz, 19 inches and is beautiful! She looks just like her Momma! She arrived through emergency C-section due to the ambilical cord being wrapped around her. Everyone is in good health!

Sweet Girl!

Daddy Nick and his Angel!

9 Months

Oh my, time passes by quickly! Brooklyn went for her 9 Month check-up yesterday and she is right on target with development and growth. She now weighs 17.5 pounds (25th percentile), and is 28 inches long (50th percentile). The pediatrician says she looks great and is eating all the right stuff!!

Brooklyn's Milestones:
She is an awesome eater!! She eats every vegetable, every fruit, chicken, turkey and beef. She will pick up foods and feed herself, including her own bottles.
She imitates the sounds that you do.
She says "Momma" and "Dadda" and "Nana." (mostly Dadda because she LOVES him!)
She can sit by herself and play for hours.
She pulls herself up from your hands. She loves to "bounce" and walk with you.
She waves and points (I didn't even know she points until the pediatrician was excited about her doing it to her).
She can give you a high five.
She is not crawling yet, but in the last 3 days she has pushed herself up on all fours and began rocking every once and a while, so crawling may happen in a month or so.
She is getting more comfortable again with others and her Papa can attest to this. He has been able to hold her a few times again now!
She has two teeth on the bottom and ones coming on the top according to the pediatrician.
She loves to swim in the pool!

I probably could go on and on about the personality and quirks she is developing, but I will spare everyone!!

Yep, Already the Third!

Aaron and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 2nd. I can't believe how quickly time has passed! Time flies when you're extremely happy!

It's funny how both my parents and his gave us a "Brooklyn free" pass as a gift this year :)

Well, Leather is the gift for 3 years, so we went this Saturday and bought ourselves some new cowboy boots. Oh yes, Texas style boots!! I am in love with mine and can not wait to break them in. We are going to the Rascal Flatts concert in July for my birthday, so at least I will look a little country.

Different Understanding

There are some people who are placed in your life for a specific reason. One of which you may never actually realize or appreciate until they are no longer an intricate part of your life. While the impact they leave on you is inspiring and uplifting, it comes to a close all too quickly without the opportunity for reflection.

I have been truly blessed and changed by the people in my life. Those I see on a daily basis and those I have little interaction with; those I see at work and various family members I see on special occasions...all etching their personal mark on my heart without ever noticing (sometimes by myself either) the beauty in their craftsmanship. God works in mysterious ways and he has given me the opportunity to know and love some amazing people!
