Baby Selfies

Morgan loves to FaceTime, see pictures, talk to whomever on the phone. She crawled into my lap the other day and figured out how to go to the camera on the iPad and it seemed fitting to take a few selfies!

And this was her tonight before bed; such a little goofball!

Attitudes

Every day last week, it was a "rough day" for one of the girls! Cranky, attitude, sassy, you name it and they were behaving that way. Monday was Brooklyn, Tuesday was Cayleigh, Wednesday was Morgan, Thursday was Cayleigh again and Friday, Morgan. I almost felt like it was a glimpse into the future about 10 years from now.....Lord, help me! Or rather, Lord, help Daddy!!

Luckily, this week has been a thousand times better. And just as we all have our off days, they will too, but the struggle to remind myself of that while they are behaving so awful is very difficult at times.

We did manage to pack activities in last week and one of them was to watch the cattle drive in downtown Fort Worth on Thursday. We picked up Daddy during his lunch break, watched the cattle walk down the street on their route, had lunch and took him back to work.  It was quick, but Brooklyn and Cayleigh really enjoyed it. Brooklyn sat on a longhorn before they started everything.

As I said before, Cayleigh's day was Thursday. Grumpy!

Spring Pictures

I had some pictures taken of the girls almost 2 weeks ago and had forgot to post them. Morgan was not thrilled about any of the grass or flowers touching her, so she wasn't exactly all smiles. Here are a few favorites.

Turkey Weekend

This past weekend, Aaron took Cayleigh out to the ranch with Gampa for some repair work and turkey hunting. Brooklyn had a soccer game on Saturday so she and Morgan stayed home with me. She then got a special afternoon date with her Papa, who took her downtown for a horse show and fun times at the stockyards!

Cayleigh got to sit in the field with Daddy and hunt, run errands with Gampa and do some various jobs around the ranch. She had such a good time and told me all about the turkey blood that got on Daddy's pants. Lovely!

Tooth Fairy

Recently, Brooklyn had one of her permanent insizers come in behind her baby tooth. When I called the dentist, they said it was extremely common and since her and Cayleigh were scheduled for a visit in just a few weeks, they would wait to examine it then. So, two weeks ago Dr. Roberts said to give it another two weeks to loosen and fall out. Nothing. I called yesterday and they decided to squeeze her in right then. I didn't make a big deal about it so Brooklyn was totally chill about having them pull her tooth. She did awesome! They gave her the laughing gas and small needle injections to numb her gums. And just like that....pulled and out, ready for the Tooth Fairy! Within an hour it was already healed up really well and she never once complained of it hurting; such a relief because I wasn't sure how she would feel after everything wore off.

Brooklyn's shark tooth!

Gas time. Too bad no crazy talk from her afterwards!

Numbing needle pricks

YANK!!!

First tooth GONE!

The Tooth Fairy left Brooklyn one dollar shaped like fairy wings or a "pretty bow" according to B! I can't believe how quickly time is passing. Registration for Kindergarten in just a few weeks.

Wildlife Zoo

On Saturday, the Hein Family all met at Fossil Rim Wildlife Park for an awesome guided zoo experience. We got to ride on an open bus and get up close and personal with various endangered animals. It was so neat! We each got a cup full of feed and each of the Hein cousins had such a good time getting to throw food out and even place food on the rim of the bus for the ostrich. Our group took up majority of the bus, giving us all the flexibility to roam from side to side on the bus and even switch around. The tour guide was good and the weather was awesome!

Unfortunately, the giraffes didn't end up coming over to our bus, but we did see them in a few other vehicles!

Eek!! The ostrich was a little close for comfort for me, but the kiddos loved it!! Almost took Brooklyn's cup of food right out of her lap.

The bus tour lasted about 2 hours and Gamma brought sack lunches for everyone to enjoy, so we ate lunch on the picnic tables. We explored and walked around for a some time before heading back home for the day. I can't say enough about how much fun the whole day was!!
