Dreaded Rodeo

Ha! What a terrible title, but I feel it is so fitting for my past experiences with many rodeos! Aaron won two tickets to the Fort Worth Rodeo again this year. So the plan was for Aaron and I to take the big girls with us; buying two extra tickets when we got there and letting them sit on our laps. And that was a great plan except when you get a flat tire on the way there (realizing it when you park the van) and the rodeo is SOLD OUT!

Luckily, we arrived about an hour and a half before the rodeo was to begin, was able to get roadside assistance in a timely manner and plead our case with the lady at the ticket booth for extra tickets. I will spare everyone the minor details that made that hour and a half extremely l.o.n.g!

Brooklyn and Cayleigh had a blast! We made it home safely and got the tire repaired this morning! So, I guess the night could have been a lot worse. After this experience, a screaming baby at another, getting vomited on at another one...I, personally, will be enjoying quiet nights alone or with the unfortunate child/s that don't go to the rodeo from here on out!

Cast Free

This mommy got her bright pink cast sawed off yesterday!! Praise God! The sight under the cast wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but the palm of my hand was almost enough to make this clean freak cringe.
The X-rays looked good with the bone showing significant healing. However, my range of motion left much to be desired. The doctor requested physical therapy once a week for 4 weeks and then a revisit with him. I have exercises to do at home and they are super painful. I had really high expectations for almost complete normalcy with my wrist once the cast came off, so I am very bummed about my continued limitations with it. Hopefully, things will get easier.

My shower last night without cling wrap felt like a spa trip!

My Spoon

Morgan has begun to show interest in feeding herself. Oh boy! As if her eating wasn't already a complete mess, we get to start this new transition!
