Aaron Turns 35!!

While, not exactly how he nor I had envisioned celebrating his 35th birthday, it was filled with love nonetheless. The weekend before, we hit up the Grand Prairie Farmers Market for some food and goodies. The kids had a great time getting samples, books signed and seeing all the stuff being sold. We happened to drive by a line formed down main street and when I hopped out, we found a small BBQ group selling their spread in an alley because they don't have a store front just yet. Sketchy sounding, I realize, but it was the most AMAZING BBQ!! We ended up spending quite a bit on some pounds of various meat!

On Aaron's actual birthday, we brought him special donuts in the morning at his work before we headed to swim lessons afterwards. His coworkers had decorated his office. We picked Superman theme for Daddy's big day because, well, he is OUR SuperMan!!

The girls helped me get some balloons and decorate a little bit at my parents house for his "party." We had tacos for dinner and homemade banana chocolate chip cake for his birthday cake. Brooklyn decorated it! It was a wonderful day celebrating Aaron!!

Brooklyn did a great job with the icing!
I definitely made him blow out 35 candles for his cake! Ha!

Happy 35th Birthday to our loving, one-of-a-kind, SuperMan!!

VBS 2018

I was privileged enough to lead a second grade class again this year at vacation bible school. It was a blast! This year the theme was Time Lab: Discovering Jesus from Eternity Past to Eternity Future. It was a blast and I had the absolute sweetest group of kiddos. I also had the fabulous assistant teachers from last year working with me again. I am always so amazed at God's work during this week. The girls are Zachary had a wonderful time!

11 Years Strong

Aaron and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary with.....our kids, of course! We swam, laughed, ate and kissed! It was perfect! As we continue down this journey of marriage, we become more and more dependent on God's grace. It is the mistakes and also the love that we demonstrate towards one another that we hope our children learn from.

This guy, he's pretty amazing!

Aaron, at the end of the day, I love every goofy bone in your body and the way you bring out the best smile in me! Cheers to the endless days of laughter still to come!

Last Day of School

Brooklyn and Cayleigh had half days the last couple days of school. Of course, parties and goodbyes were in order on the very last day. Morgan, Zach and I spent most of our time with Cay and her kinder beach day.

It is always a bittersweet time for the kids and school coming to an end. Friends they see daily would not be the norm during the summer and sweet teachers would soon become just waves in the hallway. It was a wonderful year and Brooklyn and Cayleigh grew so much, like always.

After saying goodbye to all their friends, we headed over to edible arrangements for free "donuts" (chocolate covered apples). They were delicious! The big girls were so exhausted from their crazy last week of school, they fell asleep on their giant floor pillows. Time for summer to officially begin!!

Second Grade and Kindergarten Awards

What a blessing and joy to watch two of our sweet kiddos get recognized for their academic hard work! Aaron took off the morning from work and Nana drove up to see both Cayleigh and Brooklyn at the End of Year Awards Ceremonies. The Kindergarten class sang a few songs during their ceremony and they were really cute.
